The notion of me contributing to a cookery book might be regarded with a certain amount of mirth by my friends and family — but it’s true: I’m right there in the acknowledgements for the pseudonymous George Harvey Bone’s new book Cooking with Booze*. It’s a marvellous book, accompanied by a best-in-class website created by the author, which includes the entire text of the book, a blog with videos of some of the recipes in progress and, for the geeks among us, a behind the scenes look at the making of the book and website.
* Though only one recipe — very long-term readers of this blog may remember the infamous drunk prawns, now reincarnated as the infinitely more respectable-sounding King Prawns in Sake.
